This piece was painted on location near Rosebud, AB. The storm clouds were forming quickly and the lighting was fantastic along the distant field. This was done during a workshop that I was so privileged to enjoy along with many other plein air artists out on the beautiful prairies of Alberta.
This was a super fun experience to paint in the first Canada Paints event in Calgary at Fish Creek Park. This sold before I left the park that day. What a thrill. I won second place amongst 46 other plein air painters that day. Such an honour.
