Beauty in the Grey-14X18

I painted this from an image I captured while on a walk west of our home along a frozen creek. I was  experiencing some very real grief in my life and the grey skies of that day reflected my mood. Yet, in the middle of my walk alone in the silence,  I looked up and saw this beautiful scene. It reminded me that there is beauty even in the midst of our greyest days, we just have to open our eyes to see it. I really loved how this piece turned out.
