Big Splash – Limited Edition Print

Original artwork information:

Big Splash was painted plein air on location on an 8×10 board. I drove to the south end of Kananaskis, to Upper Kananaskis lake. A 2.5 hour drive, then hiked about that same amount of time to the waterfalls with a couple of other painters. I started this piece with a underpainting of hot pink and love how it still pops through. It was an amazing location, the lighting was perfect and the sound of the water falls gushing down was so very peaceful. I enjoyed every moment of this “hike and paint” experience and think it comes through in the work. The orgininal sold right away at its first showing!
