Good Company- Lake Ohara – 8 X 10

This piece was created while I was in the Calgary Stampede Artist Gallery Show for 10 days in July of 2024. It was created from a photo I had taken during a plein air opportunity at Lake Ohara a few years ago. Apparently they don’t allow boats on this lake anymore. So I’m super grateful I had this image to paint from. I loved the red canoe against the dark teal blue and the refections on the lake of the rock out cropping. This piece will be available from the Federation of Canadian Artist in Vancouver. It was juried into their water show that will run in November of 2024.
