This piece was painted on location, however in my car during a rainy day. Each year Rosebud village, hosts a plein air event. Rosebud is a theatrical village, near Drumheller, Alberta. There is a growing community of plein air painters from western Canada who travel to this event every year. This little farm site has often caught my attention. it’s just to the west of the main street area. I love old farm sites and wonder who lived there and what farming and family history they have to that land. It’s always a mystery and I like that. I love the green tin roof’s in this scene, that they choose to protect the old buildings with.
