Red Rock- Glacier – 8 X 10

Painted on location in Glacier National Park, Montana. Red Rock is the name of the area where this lovely creek flows threw. It spoke to me so my friend and I drove back into Glacier just to paint this location. However on the day we planned to paint it, it began to rain, pour and then even snow! Thus is Plein Air Painting experiences. We set up behind my vehicle along the side of the road. This is the piece i was able to create during a down pour. I love the mood it depicts. Plein Air painting at it’s best! The teal and the red rocks in the creek sang against the dull overcast sky.
