This wonderful mid winter painting was created on site, en plein air. I was down in Montana with my dearest friend, we both painted at this location. I so enjoyed these stately pine trees, their wispy green needles set with the background of Lake Kocanusa with it’s emerald green colour. I did a larger version of this in oil and cold wax, if this painting that has sold interests you. This is one of my all time favourite plein air pieces.
